Why Make Comments on Activerain

Okay – so this is a no brainer to me… but I had an agent ask me why I was spending time making comments on other people’s blog posts.

First off, in order to maximize Activerain – you need to understand that by it’s very nature, it’s way more than just a place to “slap up your listing.” Yes, you can highlight your listing on Activerain… but that’s not really where you are going to get the most leads from.

Guess what! You can get leads from PEOPLE who are talking to PEOPLE about moving…that’s right! R-E-A-L-T-O-R-S have LEADS!

There are over 196,000 people interacting ON Activerain!  That’s not the people who are looking at information on a certain topic (like New Homes in San Diego) those are people who are in the Real Estate Industry!

Let me ask you this… does your company charge you for Relocation Leads? Did you know that a TON of people who are considering moving to your area might be speaking to an agent RIGHT NOW who is listing the home they are leaving behind?  Or maybe that agent is RENTING the home for them… either way, once you think about it… Activerain is the place you want to be MAKING FRIENDS.

So how do you go about making friends on Activerain?  You NETWORK!  You subscribe to blogs, you make comments on posts that are BETTER than “Nice Post.” Do you think I’m going to remember the guy who puts “Nice Post” as a comment to this? (Okay – so if you do I promise this one time, I’m going to look you up and say something nice about you – but seriously?!)  You’re in SALES!

This should be the EASY part of being online!  You can make friends and you don’t even have to BLOG!  WOW!

Then you connect to your new friends on Twitter! You can submit their blog posts to your Delicious Bookmarks!  You can connect to them on LinkedIn!  AND THEN… when they hear of someone moving to your part of the world – guess what?  They will remember you!

But Wait!  There’s MORE!  That’s right! When YOU have a listing… are you going to tell that customer that you are connected to the TOP real estate agents in the COUNTRY!?! Of course you are! Share the love! RAIN!

So start making comments on Activerain -and start making friends!  Be connected, Network a little! (And you’ll get a few points every time you do!)

I totally agree. Although I hate writing blogs, leaving comments is a quick and easy way engage other REALTOR’s. It’s also a great way to continue learning new information.

I am glad I saw your comment today. I have been bewildered by some of the Active Rain posts, especially a few days ago when someone posted they made 42 blogs in January. When was there time to do business.

I am grateful for your Facebook blogs. I keep asking myself why do I want to connect with my kids friends.

I need your help and will be in touch.
